Palm Coast resident John Deuble has had four billiard halls, but he says the one he plans to open on Cypress Point Parkway will be his masterpiece.

“This one is going to be a culmination of everything I've learned in the past 22 years,” Deuble said. “People are going to walk in here, and they're going to want to stay.”

Cue Note Billiard Room, a 6,500-square-foot facility at 160 Cypress Point Parkway, Suite 116, will open in four to six months, Deuble said. It will be stocked with 14 $10,000 Brunswick regulation-size Gold Crown V tables, a digital jukebox, a full bar and a menu with salads, sandwiches and burgers.

Deuble said customers will have to go to New York City to find anything comparable.

The billiard room will be sleek and modern, with an industrial look. There will be a baby grand piano on the stage at all times. Outside, Deuble will set up metal tables and chairs.

Deuble has lived in Palm Coast for 18 years and had four billiard projects, including one that lasted for nine years.

Richard Hausen, owner of Hausen Properties, the firm handling the renovations, said the project has generated some excitement already.

“We’ve had a lot of people coming by asking when it would be open,” he said.

And this billiard room won’t be some kind of smoky dive, he said. No smoking allowed.

“You think of a pool hall, a lot of times you think of gangsters. But this is going to be a really upscale place,” he said. “It’s going to be a really nice addition to Palm Coast,” he said.
