Plant City resident Victoria Garren was crowned Miss Palm Coast March 22, at the 2014 Miss Palm Coast, St. Augustine and Flagler County Pageant. The pageant, as is the case with many of the Miss Florida qualifying pageants, was open to girls statewide.
 

Flagler County heath ranks in top 3
The Florida Department of Health in Flagler County was listed in the top third of counties in Florida in the fifth-annual County Health Rankings & Roadmaps tool released by the University of Wisconsin and the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation. This study highlights the many community factors that influence health and uses established data, much of which is available from the Department at floridacharts.com.

Health Department Administrator Patrick Johnson noted the activities of the Flagler County Healthiest Weight coalition and Flagler County Tobacco Free partnership and SWAT activities added to the results.
 

Palm Coast resident honored for 50 years of service
The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, Flotilla 41, of Palm Coast, recently honored member Harry Bonilla with a commemorative plaque celebrating 50 years of volunteer service to the organization.

Starting his service with the Auxiliary in Puerto Rico, Bonilla attained the rank of Division Commander and continued his service when he moved to Palm Coast.

Flotilla 41 meets 7 p.m. the fourth Tuesday of each month, at the Palm Coast Yacht Club, 1 Yacht Club Drive. The meetings are open to all. Call 864-3057.
