Most folks strolling along the beach on a Sunday afternoon expect pleasant sights and discoveries: seashells, shorebirds, maybe a sand dollar.
But people walking along the beach near Ocean Ridge Boulevard North Sunday, April 13 found something grislier: intestines, washed up along the shoreline.
They called the Flagler County Sheriff's Office, and the Sheriff's Office called the St. Johns County Medical Examiner's Office to take the remains.
The medical examiner found the intestines to be nonhuman, Flagler County Sheriff's Office spokeswoman Deputy Paula Priester said.
