Matthew Killfoil, of Ormond Beach, sold 785 Peninsula Drive to Maria Helmick, individually and as Trustee, of Port Orange, for $120,000. Built in 1958, the house has four bedrooms, three baths, a swimming pool and 2,106 square feet. It sold in 1983 for $63,500.
Matthew and Chanda Drummond, of Harrisburg, N.C., sold 203 Orchard Street, Unit 3B, to John Rose and Richard and Geraldine Madden, of Ormond Beach, for $69,000. Built in 1984, the condo has two bedrooms, two baths and 1,083 square feet. It sold in 2004 for $95,000.

Glibert and Mary Jane Carter, of Ormond Beach, sold 21 Blockhouse Court to Steven and Darlynn Tacinelli, of Ormond Beach, for $195,000. Built in 2001, the house has three bedrooms, two baths and 1,912 square feet. It sold in a multi-parcel sale in 1998.
Thomas Earl, of Port Washington, N.Y., sold 1249 Riverbreeze Drive to Andrew Parker and Diana Knight, of Ormond Beach, for $92,600. Built in 1958, the house has two bedrooms, one bath and 928 square feet. It sold in 1975 for $45,000.

Martin Handel, of Ormond Beach, sold 416 Palm Ave. to Kenneth Chiaravalle, as trustee, of Ormond Beach, for $215,000. Built in 2002, the house has three bedrooms, two baths, a boat dock and 1,462 square feet. It sold in 2005 for $410,000.
ORMOND-BY-THE-SEA
Federal National Mortgage Association, of Dallas, sold 5500 Ocean Shore Blvd., Unit C150, to Russell Fisher, of Ormond Beach, for $61,000. Built in 1973, the condo has two bedrooms, three baths and 1,252 square feet. It sold in 1996 for $57,000.

Citizens group to present findings on abandoned houses
On May 14, Citizens for Ormond Beach Inc. will reveal the results of research into the problem of deteriorating, unoccupied homes in Ormond Beach in a public meeting. All concerned citizens are encouraged to attend the meeting at 5:30 p.m. in the auditorium at Ormond Beach Library.
The visual presentation will show how the situation is affecting home values, the appearance of neighborhoods, and city revenue. Topics will include the scope of the problem and actions necessary to address it. The group plans to present their findings to the City Commission in a workshop on May 6.
