Seabreeze drops Matanzas, heads to district final

Jack Daniels tossed a complete game, and Seabreeze plated three runs in the first inning to beat Matanzas, 5-2 in the District 5-6A baseball tournament on Tuesday.

Nick James had two RBIs, while Kyle Commette went 2 for 2 at the dish.

The Sandcrabs (13-12) will take on New Smyrna Beach for the district title at 5 p.m., on Thursday at Jackie Robinson Ballpark.

Sandcrabs set to take on Ocala Forest

The Seabreeze softball team will travel to take Ocala Forest (24-2) in the Region 2-6A quarterfinals. The Sandcrabs (11-6) fell to Deltona, 5-0, in last week’s district title game.
