Detectives seek help in identifying mail thief

Flagler County Sheriff’s detectives are seeking the public’s help to identify a man caught on video stealing mail from mailboxes in the 4000 block to the 6000 block of John Anderson Highway in Flagler Beach.

The investigation showed that after the man removes the mail, he submits a change of address form and has the victims’ mail forwarded to a vacant home. Then he uses the information he gets from their mail to open fraudulent bank accounts and credit cards, according to a Sheriff's Office news release.

The Sheriff's Office has asked anyone with information about the incidents to contact Detective Eric Glasgow at 386-586- 4875, regarding cases 2014-34831 and 2014-69937.
