The Catholic church held a feast Dec. 6.

The parishioners of Holy Dormition Byzantine Catholic Church in Ormond beach recently held a dinner in the honor of St. Nicholas whose is a patron saint of the church. Its annual St. Nicholas Covered Dish Dinner was held Dec. 7.

The day began with the celebration of the Sunday Divine Liturgy of St. John Chrysostym, followed by a dinner in the parish center. Because no one was “shouting, pouting or crying,” St. Nicholas, played by Gregory Loya, visited the parish. He greeted all of the parishioners individually, and in celebration of his feast, gave small gifts to the church’s young members.

Holy Dormition Church is served by Fr. Salvatore Pignato, Administrator, and Fr. Vincent Brady, Associate.
