Just days after winning a regional title, Flagler Palm Coast cheerleaders took second in the Class 2A Small Non-Tumbling Division Feb. 1, in Kissimmee.
“Our girls have worked very hard all year and it paid off,” coach Stacia Collier said.
FPC finished second in the semifinals and in the finals, making the Lady Bulldogs state runners-up in its class and division.
“Although we wanted first, second place feels great because it’s the highest FPC Cheerleading has ever scored in a competition,” Collier said.
Collier said she has seen the cheerleading program improve each year at FPC.
“Each year, the girls are more competitive and athletic,” she said. “I’m very proud of our team. They came together and pushed their own limits.”
