BUNNELL — Flagler County will spend $119,275 in State Housing Improvement Program money to rebuild a Flagler County resident’s home.
The Flagler County Board of County Commissioners approved a bid by Port Orange construction company New Horizon Construction to build the 1,400-square-foot, four-bedroom home as part of a consent item on its Feb. 3 meeting agenda.
The consent agenda also included approval of a $19,705 bid by Wise Builders to rehabilitate a home through the SHIP program.
Commission chooses firm for Sheriff’s Operations Center design
The Flagler County Commission voted unanimously to authorize staff to negotiate a contract with TTV Architects Inc. for design of a new Sheriff’s Operations Center.
TTV Architects was the top-ranked firm of nine that submitted bids evaluated by county staff.
The contract will not exceed $350,000.
Solid waste facility recovered 42,605 pounds of materials in 2013
Flagler County’s solid waste facility recycled or reused 42,606 pounds of material last year, including 2,553 gallons of motor oil, 300 gallons of paint and 7,017 pounds of batteries.
The facility drop-off location is at 1700 S. Old Kings Road, in Palm Coast. Residents can drop off household items and pick up leftover paint to use at home. For a full list of items the facility accepts, visit flaglercounty.org/index.aspx?NID=400.
