Attorney Jonathan Kaney revealed his list of witnesses in the ongoing Waverly investigation.

Ormond Beach attorney Jonathan Kaney recently revealed his list of witnesses he plans to interview in his investigation of the relationship between Waverly Media Group and the Volusia County Council.

Though no subpoena has been required for the current members of the council, County Council Chairman Jason Davis opposed sitting down for a recorded interview. He wanted Kaney to interview him during a council meeting.

"After interviewing him further, however, I determined that he could provide no useful information,” Kaney said in an email. “So at this time, I have cancelled that interview, reserving the option to call him if information subsequently suggests I need to get a statement from him.”

Kaney said he sat in on depositions for James Brown and Kim Was in the county’s suit against Waverly, for accounting for unpaid fees. Though they were useful, he said, they did not go into the areas he needed and will have to talk to them further.

This list of witnesses is as follows:

Jim Dineen

Dan Eckert

Dwight Lewis

Mike Hullett

Carl Persis

Andy Kelly

Charlie Lydecker

Kathleen Robinson

Kathleen Blackman

Jason Davis

Pat Patterson

Joyce Cusack

Doug Daniels

Deborah Denys

Pat Northey

Josh Wagner
