Local CVS stores are getting mixed views from the corporation's recent tobacco decision.

CVS has announced that its chain of stores will end the sale of all tobacco products by Oct. 1 this year.
In a press release, the company said this move is a step in the right direction to get customers on a better path to health. Chris Melville, shift supervisor at the CVS, located on North Nova Road, said customers have had mixed reactions.
“There have been a couple negative, couple positive,” Melville said. “They’re mad at the fact that they are cigarette smokers and we’re not selling them anymore.”
CVS is the first national pharmacy chain to take this step.
