The Ormond Beach Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed Duvasawko to the city at a ribbon cutting Tuesday. The billing and practice management company moved last November from Cornerstone Park in Daytona Beach after spending $2 million renovating the building at the corner of Division Avenue and S. Yonge Street.
The company gained about 10,000 square feet in the move, allowing for expansion. In an incentive deal, the city of Ormond Beach pledged $290,500 if the company adds 68 new people over a three-year period to its November level of 160. The city will pay a lower amount if the company employs fewer people than projected and payments will be made at the end of each year.
Duva said the company has $1 billion per year in billing. “It’s very easy to sell our product because no one else in the country does it better,” he said.
He said the city was very supportive of the company’s move to Ormond Beach and he will encourage colleagues to move their business to the city.
Also headquartered in the building are related companies also owned by Dr. Duva and his partner Dr. William Sawko: Emergency Medical Professionals, Edge Physicians and PrimeCare Urgent Care Centers.
