Local gymnasts competed with 1,200 athletes from all over the United States last weekend.

Young Ormond Beach gymnasts turned their hard work into rewards this past weekend.
While other kids their age were getting Valentine's Day cards and candy, the members of the Sky High USAG team were busy competing against 1,200 other athletes from around the United States in the Nastia Liukin Cup National Qualifier Magical Classic. The competition was held at the Orlando Convention Center.
Congratulations to first place winners Vanessa Kyska, vault; Sarah Heaster, floor; Annabelle Tedder, bars; Brooke Reardon, floor; and Kloe Hare, vault and floor.
Hare also placed first "all-around," and Camille Cavedo placed second "all-around" in their respective divisions.
The other athletes who placed in the top 10 for their age groups are listed as follows: Kinsley Hahn, Eva Iannarelli, Mollie McGrath, Anna Jones, Vanessa Kyska, Tiffany McCraney, Sarah Heaster, Olivia Ferguson, Annabelle Tedder, Gabrielle Thomas, Kamya Sampson, Andie Litz, Camille Cavedo, Victoria Woods, Brooke Reardon, Kloe Hare and Abby Flassig.
