Design to make Old Kings Road four lanes moves ahead
The project won’t be complete for a few years, but the City Council on Tuesday appeared to be in consensus to move forward with Jacksonville-based Dyer, Riddle, Mills & Precourt Inc. for the design phase of the four-laning of Old Kings Road.
The 3.44-mile project would widen Old Kings Road from Palm Coast Parkway, north, to Forest Grove Drive.
The contract is not to exceed $1,999.999.10, according to city documents. The design of the project will be funded from the Florida Department of Transportation's County Incentive Grant Program.
The item was discussed by the City Council at a workshop, and so no formal vote was taken.
