After meetings with city staff, a timeline has been established for the next steps of the Palm Harbor Shopping Center.
The potential owners will be presenting plans for the redevelopment of the shopping center at the Jan. 15 meeting of the Palm Coast Planning Board.
If the plans are approved there, the City Council will hear a proposal for rezoning at its meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 21. Final approval would be scheduled for Feb. 4.
City staff has been working out details with the developer, including traffic details. The exit between Starbucks and 7-Eleven is proposed to become a right-turn-only exit onto westbound Palm Coast Parkway. Unlike today's setup, it will not be possible to turn left onto eastbound Palm Coast Parkway. The entrance into the shopping center at that intersection will not change.
The sale for the shopping center has not been officially finalized, but the current owners are working the purchasers to approve the proposed changes.
