Maine watercolor artists Harry Thompson and Jill Previti will offer a series of watercolor demonstrations and workshops at Ocean Books & Art, in Flagler Beach.
Thompson, a graduate of the Ringling College of Art & Design, and Jill Previti, a self-taught artist, own galleries in Kennebunkport, Maine.
They will present four two-hour watercolor demonstrations and four six-hour workshops at the gallery at 200 S. Oceanshore Blvd.
At the demonstrations, Thompson and Previti will start with a blank canvas and take attendees through a step-by-step painting process. The demonstrations are free and will start at 6 p.m. Jan. 8, Feb. 12, March 12 and April 9. Reservations are suggested (call 693-4882 or stop in at the gallery).
The watercolor workshops are each $100 per person and will be held 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Jan. 19, Feb. 16, March 23 and April 27. Lunch breaks will be at the Funky Pelican restaurant across the street, where Thompson and Previti will continue art discussions with students. Meals are not included in the workshop fee.
