Wolfe, Ansari trials continued; Cowart trial set

In a pretrial hearing held Wednesday, Jan. 8 the trial of James Wolfe was continued to a later date. Wolfe, the former Matanzas education and cross-country/track coach, is charged with seven counts of unlawful sexual activity with a minor. A second pretrial has been set for March 5.

Also in Judge J. David Walsh's court Wednesday morning, a continuance was issued in the trial of Mohammed Rizwan Ansari, the owner of the Mobil gas station where Zuheily Rosado was shot and killed in February 2013. He is charged with fraud-employer failure to secure payment compensation. Another pretrial for Ansari is set for Feb. 5.

Charles Cowart also appeared for pretrial Jan. 8. He is one of four men charged with sexual battery and kidnapping in connection with a March sexual assault in Flagler Beach. Cowart’s trial has been set for April.
