A Palm Coast man was arrested Wednesday afternoon in connection to a recent burglary on Warren Place, deputies said Friday.
Frank Debisceglie, 28, was observed by deputies walking in the area of Wynnfield Drive, carrying a sweater under his arm, and then stopping to stare at several homes. Deputies stopped and asked the man if they could talk with him about why he was in the area and what he had wrapped inside the sweater.
Deputies told the man that there had been a recent burglary in the area and that they were conducting preventative patrol, according to a news release. Debisceglie told deputies that he had work tools wrapped inside the sweater.
The man consented to a search. Deputies found a spoon inside of his pants’ pocket and an intravenous needle under his shirtsleeve. Deputies then searched the sweater and found a black beanie cap with the eyehols cut out, a large, flathead screwdriver, a crowbar and a pair of gray gloves.
Debisceglie was driven to the Investigate Services Division and, after questioning, was charged in connection with a recent burglary on Warren Place. He was charged with possession of burglary tools, burglary of an occupied dwelling and violation of probation. Following his arrest, Debisceglie was taken to the Flagler County Inmate Facility and is being held on no bound, the report states.
Debisceglie was arrested in 2011 for possession of marijuana under 20 grams and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was arrested twice in 2013.
