City Manager Joyce Shanahan met with the public Wednesday in the City Commission Conference Room for her quarterly Meeting with the Manager session. Several topics were discussed including streetscaping and pension reform.
Only six residents attended the meeting. A member of the audience said the meeting should be better advertised, such as placing a flyer in the library, and Shanahan agreed.
Shanahan encouraged the pubic to attend upcoming meetings on the budget. At 5:30 p.m. on March 4, the city's financial director will report financial trends to the commission. There will be a town hall meeting on the budget in May.
Those who have questions for the city manager can attend Walking with the Manager, scheduled for 3:30 p.m. on Jan. 31. The two-mile walk will begin at the public parking area on Hand Avenue and will include an overview of the work that has recently been completed in the area.
