Water, water everywhere

2:18 p.m. — Second Block of Aston Circle. Vandalism. The city worker told police that he had placed a pad lock on a water meter because he suspected the homeowner of removing it in the past.

When he came back to the house to make sure the lock was in place, he noticed that it looked brand new. He checked to see if his city key would open the lock, but it did not. He said someone had cut off the city pad lock and replaced it with their own lock, so they could use the water without paying.

The officer knocked on the door and no one answered, so he left his card asking the homeowner to call him. The city worker put a new pad lock on the meter.
