With a 57-41 win over DeLand last Friday, the Flagler Palm Coast girls basketball team (17-7) won the 5-Star Conference Championship.
FPC and DeLand were tied, 16-16, at halftime, but the Lady Bulldogs outscored DeLand, 37-23, in the second half.
Ivana Boyd led the way once again, dropping 14 points to go along with eight rebounds, five assists and five stills. Christina Aiello had 18 points, including four 4-pointers. Aiello also had three rebounds and three steals.
FPC’s Michael Edmonds Ehman named Rotary Club’s Athlete of the Month
Michael Edmonds Ehman, a senior at Flagler Palm Coast High School, was named as the Rotary Club’s Senior Scholar Athlete of the Month for December.
Edmonds Ehman is on the baseball team and is an IB student, maintaining more than a 4.0 GPA. He volunteers with organizations such as Brain Child, Whispering Meadows Ranch and Florida Hospital Flagler.
He’s also the president of FPC’s Student Athletic Advisory Council and the leader of Sal’s Amry, FPC’s student section.
Tally domination: Palm Coast Gymnastics compete at FSU
Palm Coast Gymnastics continued its season over the weekend, competing at Florida State University, in Tallahassee.
Palm Coast Gymnastics brought 28 girls to the competition, and the majority of the girls won an invidividul event title or an all-around title. Two of the team’s Level 2s neared perfection: Andie Tice scored 9.85 on bars, and Peyton Daly scored a 9.85 on beam.

Flagler PAL announces signups for spring baseball
Signups for Flagler PAL spring baseball are underway.
Singups and other information is available at flaglersheriffspal.org. Registration is $60, and player evaluation will be 10 a.m. Feb. 1, at the Flagler County Fairgrounds, off County Road 13.
Opening Day is March 1.
