Palm Coast actor to perform at Daytona Playhouse

Palm Coast’s Peter Gutierrez stars in “Not Now Darling” by Ray Cooney and John Chapman, opening at Daytona Playhouse 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 31, and running through Feb 9.

Gutierrez was last seen in the City Repertory Theatre's production of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde."  He now takes on the role of the philandering fur salon owner.

Christ Lutheran launches Wednesday worship
Beginning Wednesday Feb. 5 and continuing every Wednesday after that, Christ Lutheran Church will hold an evening meal time worship service. Starting at 5:45 p.m., a light meal centered of soup will be served, followed by a worship period.

Following worship, there will be breakouts for adult bible studies, youth group for middle and high school students, and activities for elementary and preschool kids. Everyone is invited, and it is free to all.

Old Kings Elementary School student Calene Rohrbeck was named the district's 19th first-place winner in the Patriots Pen Essay Contest and will advance to the state competition.

Christopher Jordan Carr, of Palm Coast, qualified for the Dean’s List at Brewton-Parker College, of Mount Vernon, Ga., for the fall 2013 semester.
