Palm Coast is moving the launch location for its July 3 fireworks display back to the traditional fireworks launch area just northeast of Central Park, according to a city news release.
The city made the change because of concerns its planned launch location this year was too close to the Flagler Airport.
Because of the change, fireworks viewing will not be available at Flagler Palm Coast High School, as the city had originally planned.
Instead, the best viewing area will be at Central Park, 975 Central Avenue, and along Central Avenue near the park, according to the release.
There will not be any entrances to the fireworks show from Bulldog Drive.
The Fireworks in the Park display will begin at 9 p.m. July 3 after the Flagler Education Foundation’s 5-9 p.m. pre-fireworks family fun show.
