The following is an adapted news release from the city of Flagler Beach.
Flagler Beach's fireworks display kicks off at 9:30 p.m. at the Flagler Beach pier tonight. Heading to the show? The city would like attendees to keep these rules in mind to avoid a ticket:
Parking:
• If parallel parking, your car must face the direction of traffic to comply with state law.
• Tires may not touch the roadway.
• Don’t park within eight feet of an intersection.
• Don’t block a driveway.
• Don’t park next to a fire hydrant.
• Don’t park on vegetation on the east side on Oceanshore Boulevard.
Pets:
Pets are welcome, as long as their owners follow the rules:
• Animals are not allowed in city parks.
• Animals must be leashed and under the handler’s control, and leashes must be no longer than eight feet.
• Animals are not allowed on the beach between North 10th Street and South 10th Street. They are allowed on other beaches, but must be under a handler’s control and on a leash no longer than eight feet. The ticket for violating this ordinance is $50.
• Scoop up after your pet. Leaving pet poop behind means a $50 ticket.
• Do not leave your pet in a car. The heat can kill them. The citation for leaving a pet alone in a car is $103.

• Carts must be inspected and registered with the city of Flagler Beach to drive on city streets.
• Golf carts are not permitted on State Road 100 or on Oceanshore Boulevard.
