This year’s state legislative session saw the largest budget in Florida history — $77 billion — and the fewest number of adopted bills — just 264 of the 1,812 filed — and within the shuffle, Flagler County managed some victories.
The county led the charge in the successful effort to repeal the 2011 vacation rental law that had wrested regulatory control of rentals from local governments, and it secured $500,000 in state money for money for the Agricultural Museum, and another $183,400 in appropriations for Princess Place, Special Projects Manager Andy Johnson told County Commissioners during a workshop July 7.
