A Venus De Milo statue that lost its head July 9 after a group of young people pushed it over is still headless, and deputies are seeking the public’s help to find its attackers.

Surveillance video from European Village show four young men and one young woman — all in their teens or early 20s — walking over to a water fountain in the courtyard. As the young men walk past the statue, they push it over, then run off toward Palm Harbor Parkway.

Deputies believe they may live in or near European Village.

The Sheriff's Office has asked anyone with information about the statue-beheading to call Deputy Daniel Parthemore at 313- 4911. Or, to remain anonymous, and possibly eligible for a reward, call Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-TIPS (8477).
