It was a big day for the Gonzalez brothers.

In the U10 Super Bowl of the FlagFootball4Fun Palm Coast league on Saturday, May 31, at Belle Terre Park, Landon Gonzalez caught a pass after it was tipped by a defender at midfield, and he dashed the rest of the way to the end zone. That catch sealed the 12-8 come-from-behind victory and the first-place trophy for the Dolphins.

An hour later, Gonzalez’s younger brother, Caden, caught a touchdown pass in the final minute to cap a 26-24 come-from-behind victory for the U8 Dolphins over the Rams in the U8 Super Bowl.

Reece Balsano also pulled two flags in for the U8 Dolphins, including a pull on the final play of the game. They were his first pulls of the whole season, and they came at a perfect time.

The championships added to the list of accomplishments for coach Luis Silva. He has coached five Dolphins teams now in the past three years in the league (formerly known as Phantom Flag), and he has won four championships and one second-place trophy.
