During the breezy afternoon of May 28, Florida Hospital HospiceCare hosted the fourth-annual Blessing of the Bricks event in “Kelly’s Corner,” the memorial butterfly garden at the Stuart F. Meyer Hospice House, located on the campus of Florida Hospital Flagler.

Each year, at this special event, hospice friends, family members and supporters come to honor and remember hospice patients who have passed through Florida Hospital HospiceCare.

“One guest at the event shared with me that they drive from Melbourne every year just to attend this ceremony,” said Diane Trask, Florida Hospital HospiceCare community liaison.

Janine Regina, owner of Hammock Gardens Nursery, donates her time and talents to maintain the garden and the specially-chosen plants and flowers that line the brick path.

Four 3’N Motion dancers head to New York
“Hard work and dedication pays” is a phrase that four of 3’N Motion Dance Studio students realized last month after auditioning and being accepted to prestigious summer dance intensive programs in New York City.

Caleb Krassner, a student at Indian Trails Middle School attended Florida Ballet master class in Jacksonville conducted, by The Joffrey Ballet and was accepted to participate in The Joffrey Ballet Summer Program.

Gretchen Martinez, a freshman at Nease High School attended a live audition in Orlando with the Radio City Rockette teacher/choreographer and was invited to join the Rockettes Summer Intensive Program and Performance.

Tristen Stanley, a freshman at Matanzas High School was accepted into The Joffrey Ballet summer Jazz/Contemporary intensive. She was also accepted into The Joffrey Ballet Jazz/Contemporary trainee program for the 2014-2015 school year.

All four of these dancers are students at 3’N Motion Dance Studio under the instruction of Theresa Flaschner, ballet instructor and former ballerina and Shawna Hilley, artist director and team choreographer.

The costs to attend these programs are high and the group is looking for private sponsors and donors to help them achieve their dreams. Donations can also be mailed directly to the studio at 5 Utility Dr., Suite 1, Palm Coast, Florida 32137 c/o Laura Stanley.
