The Flagler Sheriff’s Office Police Athletic League is offering programs for girls and boys from ages 4-18, including baseball, tennis, volleyball, and track and field.
“Our goal is to provide a positive and fun experience for our youth,” Sheriff James L. Manfre said in a news release. “Through our athletic programs and special events, youth have a rewarding experience and memories that last a lifetime.”
The P.A.L. youth program is designed to “instill positive values and reduce juvenile crime” and “contribute to the character, integrity, physical and mental fitness, citizenship, sportsmanship and personal well-being of Flagler County’s youth,” according to the release.
Program costs are usually about $25-$60.
The P.A.L. also offers special events like My Girl Talk, Explorers, Junior Police Academy, Youth Leadership and Dusk with Deputies, and mentoring programs for all ages, including programs that let high school students earn scholarship-required volunteer hours.
P.A.L. partners with the Flagler County School District, Flagler Youth Soccer Association, Special Olympics, Christmas with a Deputy, Hot Pursuit 5K, Guns and Hoses Softball Tournament, Florida Hospital Flagler and the City of Palm Coast.
