Two Palm Coast residents and another man were injured Wednesday night after they were struck by a drunk driver while walking across U.S. 1 in Volusia County, according to a report by the Florida Highway Patrol.

Sherry Ann Pyle, 44 and Dale Cicero, 52 — both Palm Coast residents — were walking west across the street at a median break at about 11:30 p.m. with another man, 61-year-old Daniel Reilley. Troopers aren’t yet sure where Reilley is from.

Eunice Cich, 52, was driving south on U.S. 1 toward Airport Road in her Honda pickup truck when the “three pedestrians walked into the direct path of” the truck, which struck all three of them, according to the FHP report.

All three were taken to Halifax Medical Center. Pyle was listed in critical condition, and Cicero and Reilley were listed in serious condition, according to the report.

Cich, an Ohio resident, was arrested for driving under the influence. She was not injured in the crash.
