Ormond Beach Catholic Church raised money for the Knights of Columbus and Council of Catholic Women Saturday.

The scene at Prince of Peace Catholic Church Saturday wasn’t one of a typical mass.

Ladies and gentlemen dressed up all in their best and biggest hats for the Knights of Columbus’ Kentucky Derby Dinner.

“We do five dinners a year,” Ron Nowviskie, chairman of the dinner, said. “This happened to fall on the right time so we decided to do it.”

Guest enjoyed complimentary beer, wine and champagne before the races. Following, they had hearty pork tenderloin dinner and a southern dessert table appropriate for the evening.

Proceeds from this event went to support the activities of the Knights of Columbus and Council of Catholic Women at Prince of Peace Catholic Church.
