The community rallied around local artist Linda Solomon to support her in her battle against Stage IV ovarian cancer. After a series of benefit art events, the winning raffle ticket was drawn for her original painting, "Ocean of Life," at the April 27 Flagler Fine Art Festival.

Winner Phyllis Garcia was visiting the area and purchased her ticket less than an hour before the drawing. After a thorough mixing, the artist herself drew Garcia’s ticket from the basket. The painting now graces the walls of the Garcia home in Indiana.
