The Daytona Cubs hosted a Pack the Park Pink event to raise money for Emily Carnes’ who was diagnosed with breast cancer this year.

The stadium for the Daytona Cubs was packed pink May 28 for Ormond Beach teen Emily Carnes.

18-year-old Carnes was diagnosed with breast cancer earlier this year. Over 3,000 people came to the Cub’s Pack the Park Pink event to support her.

“She had a blast,” Event Organizer Jen Campanella said. “She was so exhausted. I had to kick her out and send her home. The event was hugely successful. Between the ticket sales, Ford test drives and the silent auction it has got to be close to $10,000.”

The official amount raised has not yet been counted.
