The Flagler Palm Coast Lady Bulldogs (1-0) blew out the Seabreeze Lady Sandcrabs (0-1) 55-10 in the first basketball game of the season Monday, Nov. 10, at Seabreeze High School.

The Lady Bulldogs hardly allowed the Lady Sandcrabs to cross the half court line throughout the night, forcing 24 turnovers, most of them being steals.

Tamara Henshaw led all scorers with 16 points, six rebounds and six steals. Armani Walker had an explosive first quarter, scoring 10 points (12 total), with five assists and five steals in the game.

The Lady Bulldogs led 44-4 at halftime, which inflicted the mercy rule at the beginning of the third quarter. From there, The Lady Bulldogs held back much of their offense and defensive pressure.

The girls came out and executed the way we wanted them to in the first half,” coach Javier Bevacqua said. “They put the game away in the first quarter the way they were supposed to.”

FPC will play the Matanzas Lady Pirates 7 p.m. today, at Matanzas High School.
