Several new businesses and construction projects are underway or recently finished in Palm Coast, with a new Ulta Beauty taking the place of Books-A-Million in the Target shopping center on State Road 100, and work proceeding on the Palm Harbor Shopping Center and the site of a future Chick-fil-A.

The city has issued a development order for the Chick-fil-A, which will be built on the site of the former Perkins Restaurant and Bakery at 1000 Palm Coast Parkway.

A development order was also issued for the work at the Palm Harbor Shopping Center — to be renamed Island Walk — after the project’s developer revised some minor aspects of the project’s site plan to meet the city’s technical requirements, Palm Coast spokeswoman Cindi Lane said.

The new Ulta Beauty location opened Nov. 14 and offers about 20,000 beauty products and more than 1,000 scents, according to an Ulta Beauty press release.
