The Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs began their second game of the season trailing Seabreeze 7-0, but they scored 35 unanswered points to win 35-7 on Friday night, Sept. 5, at FPC.

One of FPC quarterback Dalton Thomas’ early passes was picked off by Seabreeze’s Javier Sylvester and returned for the opening touchdown. Thomas would recover and connect with Marcel Williams on a 41-yard touchdown pass. Thomas found the end zone, again, on a 2-yard designed quarterback run.

Just before half-time, Caleb Tassy rushed for a 60-yard touchdown to put the Bulldogs up 21-7. When the Bulldogs were backed up against their end zone, Que’Shaun Byrd scampered up the middle and scored on a 92-yard touchdown run. Ladarius Smith ran in a short touchdown to ice the game in the fourth quarter.

“Coaches tend to wonder how their team is going to react, whenever they get down,” Bulldogs coach Caesar Campana said. “Our guys just kept plugging away. Tonight was a good win for us.”

FPC will look to continue its winning ways against University High School at 7 p.m. Sept. 12, at FPC. The Sandcrabs will host DeLand at 7 p.m. Sept. 12.
