Matanzas handles Flagler Palm Coast on the golf course
In the rivalry that keeps giving the Matanzas Pirates defeated their crosstown rivals the Flagler Palm Coast Bulldogs on Sept. 10, at the Cypress Knoll Golf Course. The Pirates shot a 200, while the Bulldogs shot a 168. The scores for the match were:

“We didn’t play our best today,” Hunter said. “It’s great that we won, but on our good day we’re a lot better. Though Hunter called this match a bad game, he was able to record an eagle a hole and birdie several others. Owen Kirvin, who just moved down to the Palm Coast area, recorded his first birdie of the season. The Pirates will play the St. Augustine Saints at 4:15 p.m. Tuesday Sept. 16, at the Eagle Harbor Golf Course in Orange Park, and the FPC Bulldogs will travel and play Deland Bulldogs next Tuesday as well at the Victoria Hills Golf Course.
