Installment of New Pastor at Christ Lutheran Church
Pastor Mark Gerish will be installed at Christ Lutheran Church, in Bunnell. He started his career in Detroit as a police officer and served in three separate precincts. He was an academy instructor, headquarters and had a few special assignments before becoming a full time minister. He accomplished getting his Masters of Divinity Degree from Concordia Theological Seminary in Fort Wayne, Indiana. With his degree he served congregations in Minnesota, Nebraska and Michigan. Eventually he went back to college and got a Master’s Degree in Professional Counseling. He also has a license in Michigan as a Professional Counselor with National Certifications. He and his wife Judy, who is also an important member of the church live here in Palm Coast and are enthusiastic about developing multi-generational ministries at Christ Lutheran Church. Please welcome Pastor Mark Gerish and his wife Judy into our community.

Florida Hospital Flagler is hosting a support group for patients and survivors of oral, head and neck cancer. The group meets every first Thursday of every month at 4 p.m. at Florida Hospital Flagler, Classroom D, 60 Memorial Medical Pkwy in Palm Coast. Patients and survivors can come together and discuss how their coping strategies, experiences and how they stay optimistic. At 8 a.m. the Matanzas High School Leo’s Club is holding a car washing fundraiser to raise money for their annual ESE Disney trip. It will be at AutoZone on 4915 Belle Terre Pkwy. Tickets will be five dollars per car and ten for larger vehicles. Any amount for donations are welcomed.
Gamble Rogers Jam Session

Hope Hears
Hope Hears is having an event at Flagler Beach from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to encourage people to donate to the cause of helping others. The event will have a dunking booth and snow cones to end the summer with fun while helping those in need and will be located in the Realty Exchange parking lot at 811 N Oceanshore Blvd in Flagler Beach.
