A felony arrest warrant was issued by Judge Melissa Moore Stens on Wednesday, Aug. 5, a for the suspect involved in the June 20 burglary to the Java Joint, 2201 N. Oceanshore Blvd. The nationwide warrant charges the suspect with burglary and grand theft.
The suspect, Joseph Coleman Hodge, 52, of Jacksonville, is currently in custody in Ware County, Georgia, on burglary charges from numerous law enforcement agencies. Hodge is considered a suspect and/or person of interest in connection with burglaries that have occurred in Jacksonville Beach; Gainesville; Nassau County; Camden County, Georgia; and Charlton County, Georgia.
The Flagler Beach Police Department’s “attempt to identify” bulletins in this case were distributed to the local media as well as city, county and state law enforcement agencies, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and the Northeast Florida Fusion Center.
Flagler Beach Police Capt. Matt Doughney said, “The efforts of the analysts from the Northeast Florida Fusion Center was paramount to this case coming to a successful conclusion.”
Hodge is being held in Ware County, Georgia, at this time and the bond on his arrest warrant for this case is $20,000.
