Ormond Beach police are investigating a crash that occurred about 7 a.m. on Aug. 7 in the 1190 block of N. U.S. 1xz. A tractor-trailer was stopped blocking both south bound lanes when a passenger vehicle crashed into it, police said.
The driver of the passenger vehicle, Jonathan Kinsler, 28, of Port Orange, was seriously injured and transported to Halifax Hospital as a trauma alert, police said. The investigation is continuing and no citations have been issued at this time.
The roadway was shut down from the time of crash until approximately 11:35 a.m.
