Since 1998 students from Flagler Palm Coast High school have participated in the Photographic Society of America Annual Youth Showcase Contest, sponsored by the Photography Club of Flagler County and Palm Coast.
This year's winners are: In the print division – Chase Kroul, third place and Caitlyn Bernardini, honorable mention. Digital division – Caitlyn Carvalho-Leddy, second place and Amber Leishman, third place.
The goal of this contest is to encourage high school age students to explore their photographic skills and hopefully advance into photographic or graphic art careers. Cash prizes land youth membership into the society were awarded.
Other contest participants from the class of Edison Beckett, instructor, were: Jasmyn Byrd, Amanda Farmer, Alexis Matthews, Jessica Nesteruk, Bailey Persona, Elizabeth Vanderberg and Angela Westfall.
