Florida Hospital opens St. Augustine clinic
Florida Hospital Flagler recently celebrated the opening of a satellite physical therapy clinic in St. Augustine in partnership with PT Solutions. The St. Johns County Chamber of Commerce helped celebrate the center’s opening with a ribbon cutting, cut by India Hamilton, the very first patient at the St. Augustine location.
Attendees had the opportunity to meet the physical therapists and enjoy refreshments and prizes while touring the new outpatient physical therapy clinic.
PT Solutions, a national physical therapist-owned, private practice, will staff Florida Hospital Flagler’s new outpatient physical therapy office, located over the 312 Bridge in the Plantation Island medical complex at 1000 S. Plantation Drive, Suite 2B.

Dr. Carbiener, a champion
The Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation has nominated Dr. Pamela Carbiener as their Agency Champion for the Association of Fundraising Professionals 2015 National Philanthropy Day Awards.
Dr. Carbiener has been a champion for women and children in the Daytona Beach and surrounding communities for more than 23 years, and she is a dedicated local physician and community partner, not only with the Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation, but with Volusia and Flagler Counties as a whole.
Among her accomplishments, Dr. Carbiener formed the Daytona Blues Festival, Inc., in 2009, a 501(c) nonprofit organization that organizes a three-day Blues music festival in downtown Daytona Beach to raise significant funds each year that goes to charities benefiting women and children in Volusia and Flagler counties. Since its inception, the Daytona Blues Festival has contributed more than $30,000 toward facility upgrades to the Stewart-Marchman-Act Project WARM in Bunnell. These funds have been used to purchase new furniture and other much-needed upgrades for the women and children housed at the Vince Carter Sanctuary. In 2015, Dr. Carbiener joined the Stewart-Marchman-Act Foundation’s Board of Directors.
New tourist magazine to launch in Flagler County
Veteran publisher and long-time Flagler Beach resident Richard Clemons will be launching “Mainly Local,” a tourist magazine in January 2016.
“It’s a quarterly tourist and hospitality magazine, revealing Flagler’s local heart and soul," Clemons said.
