Police release sketch of suspect in double stabbing

An unknown white male attacked two people in their home.

Two Ormond Beach residents were attacked in their home Dec. 27 by an unknown white male. 

According to the Ormond Beach Police Department, the suspect entered the residence at 521 Andrews Street at 4:50 a.m., and attacked Shelly Phillips, 27, in the living room. Shelly Phillips then called out to Adam Phillips, 30, for help. Adam Phillips went into the living room and was also attacked.

The suspect then left without taking any property or making any demands.

Both victims suffered multiple stab wounds and were subsequently transported to the hospital for treatment. Adam Phillips’ condition is listed as critical, but stable. Shelly Phillips’ condition is listed as stable. 

Investigators met with Shelly Phillips and Adam Phillips and were able to create a composite sketch of the suspect that attacked them. The description of the suspect has been updated to be late 20’s to 30 years old, thin build and face, dark gray hooded sweat shirt and dark-colored, beanie-style hat.
