Winter princesses were the theme at the fourth-annual daddy, daughter ball hosted by the city of Palm Coast’s Parks and Rec. department Saturday night at the community center.

With princess wands in hand, young girls ran around the dance floor singing “Let it Go” from Disney’s “Frozen,” and spinning around, allowing their dresses to poof out.

“We want to give the opportunity for dads to spend time with their daughters and create that special bond,” said Lauren Bennett, recreation supervisor.

The dinner and dance had 70 participants and included games as well as slow dances.

“My daughter is only three-and-a-half one time in her life and I want to celebrate that the best I can,” said Drew Rosenthal after dancing to “Butterfly Kisses” with his daughter, Ava. “If it means I get to spend three hours with her, just her and me, that means the world to me.”
