Josh O’Hara, a 2013 Matanzas graduate, was selected as one of 11 Division II Men’s National All-Americans by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America as a member of the Trinity Baptist College soccer team in Jacksonville.
O’Hara, along with his teammate who also was chosen, led Trinity (16-6) to its most wins in a season, longest winning streak, a regional championship and a fourth-place finish in the nation. O’Hara scored 13 of Trinity’s 88 goals during the season and assisted on five others.
“I wasn’t sure I was going to make it because I’m only a sophomore,” O’Hara said. “It was a cool feeling, to be honest. I didn’t realize how big a deal it was until I got to Philadelphia, and people were treating us like royalty. Then it started to hit me like, ‘OK, maybe this is a big deal.’”
BELOW is an exceptional Josh O'Hara goal from this past year with the Trinity Baptist Eagles.
