The following is an adapted news release from The Sheltering Tree:
The Sheltering Tree, a cold shelter at 205 N. Pine Street in Bunnell, will open on Wednesday, Feb.18, and Thursday, Feb. 19.
Temperatures are predicted to drop to 33 degrees on Wednesday, and even colder, 31 degrees, on Thursday.
The shelter will open at approximately 5:30 p.m. on both days, serve a warm meal, provide a warm, safe place to sleep, and provide breakfast in the morning.
Most importantly, the shelter strives to provide dignity and respect for those in need.
