ECN currently employs 100 full time employees and the company is currently seeking to add personnel in client support and software development departments, according to Stephanie Meyers, marketing manager.

Emergency Communications Network, LLC sells high-speed public notification services. The Chamber uses ECN’s web-based business notification tool called SmartNotice, which enables them to update members about meetings and events, Myers said.
Donation allows Wellness Center expansion
The Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center medical executive committee donated $30,000 on Feb. 3 to benefit the hospital’s Wellness Center, according to a press release. The 6,165 square-foot center includes cardiac rehabilitation and diabetes education, as well as outpatient physical, speech and occupational therapy.
The donated funds will double the size and allow wellness programs, nutritional counseling, personal training and weight-management classes.
Florida Hospital Memorial Medical Center’s medical executive committee is composed of 15 local physicians and four hospital leaders. It regularly chooses causes to support with the funds from member dues. Previous recipients include scholarships for medical students and medical mission trips.
Locally-owned bank opens

CareerSource name change lauded
CareerSource Flagler Volusia and the CareerSource Florida network recently celebrated the one-year anniversary of the launch of the unified brand. Florida became the first state in the nation on Feb. 10, 2014, to achieve aligned brands for its state board, 24 regional workforce development boards and nearly 100 career centers.
The statewide rebranding effort has helped provide greater clarity and consistency for job seekers and employers, according to a press release. The statewide branding effort was recognized in September as the year’s top workforce initiative by the National Association of State Workforce Agencies. Florida was awarded the 2014 State Excellence Award for Leadership for service and performance improvements facilitated by the rebranding.
