Ormond woman was uninjured

Edward Stephen Ousley, 55, of Ormond Beach, was critically injured in a traffic accident on Jan. 16 on Interstate 95, according to the Florida Highway Patrol. Two other people involved in the crash, Lori Wolfe, 49, of Ormond Beach, and Kevin Riley, of Palm Coast were not injured.

Police said the three were traveling southbound in separate cars. For an unknown reason, Ousley, driving a 1996 Pontiac, lost control and sideswiped a 2013 Subaru driven by Wolfe. The Pontiac then traveled toward the center median and struck the guardrail.

Riley, driving a 2008 Dodge Charger, was unable to avoid the Pontiac. The front of the Charger struck the rear of the Pontiac. Ousley, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected out the back window of the Pontiac.

The age of Riley is pending confirmation.

Ousley was transported to Halifax Medical Center. The crash remains under investigation.
