Florida Hospital donates to Urban Ministry

Employees from Florida Hospital Flagler of Palm Coast and Florida Hospital Memorial in Daytona Beach donated their gave of their time to Halifax Urban Ministry in Daytona Beach, preparing more than 400 meals and serving them restaurant-style to underprivileged people, including children on Saturday, June 13 at the Bridge of Hope Kitchen.

Services offered by Halifax Urban Ministries include temporary housing, food, case management programs and emergency assistance. In 2013, Halifax Urban Ministries provided more than 24,700 food packages to the needy and served nearly 150,000 hot meals, and in 2014, Florida Hospital Volusia/Flagler collectively contributed nearly $101 million in benefits to the underprivileged, the community’s overall health and wellness and spiritual needs, and capital improvements.
