Flagler Sheriff’s Office investigates shooting of 18-year-old male in Palm Coast's L-section

The shooting occurred on Lewisdale Lane near Lewis Drive after witnesses said a group of black males was observed fighting outside a home just before 4 p.m. The victim was found in the roadway.

The following is a press release from the Flagler County Sheriff's Office:

The Flagler County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in the L-section of Palm Coast, leaving an 18-year-old critically injured with gunshot wounds to his abdomen. The teenager was flown by Flagler County’s FireFight rescue helicopter to UF’s Shands Jacksonville hospital with life-threatening injuries.

The shooting occurred on Lewisdale Lane near Lewis Drive after witnesses said a group of black males was observed fighting outside a home just before 4 p.m. The victim was found in the roadway.

It’s unclear who the shooter was as deputies received reports that two vehicles were involved in the incident, including a vehicle that had been reported stolen Monday from Palm Coast. This vehicle has been located in the 40 block of Bunker Hill Drive in Palm Coast.

Anyone with information about this shooting or any crime in Flagler County is urged to contact the Flagler County Sheriff’s Office Investigative Services Division at 386-586-4801, or tipsters can remain anonymous by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-888-277-8477 (TIPS). Callers may be eligible for a reward.
